Tank Love. An Overview of the Mysteries of Tank Reproduction
Sunday, 07 June 2009
As ubiquitous as tanks are in our lives, many mysteries remain about some of their most basic characteristics. In this photographic essay, we explore the myriad ways in which the next generation of tanks will be brought into the world. An epic tank-sperm battle over the prized egg. A rare look at an anti-aircraft tank in estrous. Her swollen tank treads serve both as a signal that she is ready to breed, as well as immobilizing her for the... Read more...

Congratulations to Thug Rigby for making the finals @ ShutterTramp Magazine!!! His little expedition shooting the great trans-Pacific migration of the leaf-rafting tanks may have really paid off!!! WILD TANK SURVIVAL GUIDE
Tuesday, 02 June 2009
Going on wild tank safari can be an exciting and educational experience for the whole family and if you take heed to the following tips, you just might survive!   1. Do not try to touch the tanks. No matter how cute they are, remember that they are wild animals. As such, they can inflict great damage! Even those tiny wild-huckleberry-bush tanks are dangerous. Even if they don't shoot you, they can still give you rabies. 2. Keep food and oil... Read more...

ELEPHANT ADOPTS ORPHAN BABY TANK I know, I know... I didn't believe it either until I saw the photographs. I personally flew out to the Calgary Huskar Archives and scanned these originals because the old b/w photographs don't do it justice.     So the story goes...   ... Read more...

Last night I watched that old, famous documentary about the finding of that old woolly tank in an iceblock up in the Arctic. Very moving. Very sad. Came across this when I was trying to find good pictures of her. a scientist sent me this chilling photograph. apparently baby tanks are easy prey in their early days before their skin hardens- and easy, easy marks in the oil fields of the Serenghetti. I can't type. crying too much.

Thank You for coming. Please enjoy the book & the little articles I put up, and share the love.

I need to acknowledge at this point Mr. Dagan Rose-Stockwell, in many ways my partner in crime on this project. He's stuck with me since the baby tank made its first furtive burps and did more than his part with baby sitting duty and watching its first careful treadings across the playground. Were it not for his expertise with the whole computer-web thingy and his tireless feedback and patience with my artistic neurosis, none of this would be here. Enjoy this website, share the love, and please visit his project at http://www.wildpoets.com...
